School Choir
Day: Thursday
Time:2.10 - 3pm
Teachers: Miss J. McClelland and Mr P. Mullan
The school choir rehearses every Thursday afternoon under the direction of Miss
McClelland and Mr Mullan. This year there are 66 members taken from P4 -P7.

Throughout the year the choir performs at special Harvest and Easter assemblies
and at Christmas leads the Carol service. It also plays a vital role when the school
stages a musical production, which in the last years have included, 'The Wizard of
Oz', 'Prince of Egypt' and 'The Sound of Music'.

Over the last few years the choir has successfully competed in the Portadown
Music Festival, winning cups for hymn singing and fireside songs, as well as solo
singing.

In March 2003, the choir took part in the UTV 'School Choir of the Year' competition
for the first time. They performed superbly 'Living and Learning' and 'The Lord's My
Shepherd'.
