AMMA Creative Learning Partnership 2025–2026
This year, Edenderry greatly benefited from an inspiring partnership with the AMMA Creative Learning Centre, Armagh, which significantly enhanced the development of digital art and design skills across our school.
The programme had a very positive impact on both staff and pupils, enriching teaching approaches and resulting in an excellent standard of pupil work. Collaboration with neighbouring schools, including Seagoe, Bocombra and Tandragee, further enriched the experience through the sharing of ideas, creativity and expertise.
Delivered in three structured phases, the programme supported meaningful and sustained development. The initial phase focused on training and upskilling, laying strong foundations in digital creativity. The second phase centred on classroom implementation, where staff applied their learning with ongoing expert guidance. The final phase consolidated these skills, offering further support and culminating in a special Celebration Day, where pupils’ outstanding work was proudly showcased.
Throughout the programme, ongoing reflection and evaluation ensured continuous development and meaningful impact for both staff and learners. The partnership has strengthened digital creativity, increased pupil engagement and supported a more dynamic and innovative approach to teaching and learning in Art and Design.
This work also aligns closely with the wider priorities for education in Northern Ireland, where the development of digital skills is increasingly recognised as essential. By engaging with digital tools in creative and purposeful ways, pupils are building confidence in areas such as communication, information handling, creativity and problem-solving—skills that support learning across the curriculum and prepare them for future pathways. Embedding these competencies from an early stage helps ensure all pupils have access to high-quality learning experiences and supports the development of responsible, informed digital citizens.
