We were delighted to see our caretaker Barry’s work celebrated publicly on Saturday night at the Families First NI Spring Awards. Barry’s contribution to Edenderry was recognised as so much more than his ‘Buildings Supervisor’ job description when he was presented with a ‘Backbone of the School’ award during a special night at the Titanic Centre. The award was endorsed by scores of our staff and parents, who left comments referring to Barry’s commitment to our school and children, in support of Barry’s nomination, on the Families First NI website. We are delighted to see Barry’s contribution honoured in this way and proud to have him as an integral part of the Edenderry staff. He actually even put long trousers on for the occasion!
As a school, we celebrated Barry’s achievement following Tuesday morning’s final dress rehearsal for our P4 Easter performance. The loud and extended round of applause speaks for itself! Well done Barry, and thank you!
