P6 had a fantastic visit from Bellevue Bees, where Rachel taught us all about the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping.
We learned about the different jobs inside the hive, the queen bee, honey production, wax, frames and how a hive works together. Some pupils even got to try on a real beekeeper’s suit!
To finish the session, everyone made their own beeswax candle to take home. It was a fun, hands-on experience and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to Rachel for such a brilliant visit! 🐝
