Education Authority Musical Concert Celebration

20th May 2026

This morning, we were delighted to host the Education Authority’s Musical Concert, a wonderful showcase of talent and dedication of our P4 and P5 pupils, led by our brass tutor, Mr McLean.

The concert featured fantastic performances from our P4 Pathways group, who this year have had the unique opportunity to learn how to play and care for a trombone. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and musical ability were evident in every note they played. We were also incredibly proud of our P5 pupils who have been receiving specialist tuition and performed brilliantly as part of the event.

It was a pleasure to welcome parents and grandparents, whose support and encouragement meant so much to the children. The audience was further enriched by our P3, P4, and P5 pupils, who thoroughly enjoyed the performances and were inspired by their peers.

The progress our pupils have made under the expert guidance of Mr McLean has been truly outstanding. His dedication and passion for music have helped nurture both skill and confidence in our young musicians.

Events like this highlight the vital role music plays in education. Music not only develops creativity and self-expression but also supports concentration, teamwork, and overall academic growth. We are incredibly proud of all our performers and grateful for the continued support of our school community.
