P4 have a delightful daffodil afternoon
1st Apr 2026
Both P4 classes enjoyed play based learning session focused on daffodils. First we watched a short video where we learned and observed all the different parts and their functions through a microscope lens. Then we looked a power-point where we discussed the life-cycle of a daffodil plant. After this we all went outside to look closely at the daffodils around our school and which varieties we could notice. Miss McClelland told us all about when the bulbs were planted and how they return year after year making them perennial plants. The children learned how to dead head and why it was important to do this. Lastly we finished off with craft making a beautiful bouquet of daffodils. What a lovely productive afternoon's work!
