Wednesday morning was a super opportunity for us to see and experience the rugby facilities at Portadown College.
We started with a quick tour of the gyms and 1st XV changing room, followed by some tackle technique drills in the sports hall and finished by putting this into practice out on the pitch during some mini matches against the other schools.
It was encouraging for the boys involved to see Bobby Newell, a past pupil of Edenderry Primary School who is currently Portadown College 1st XV captain!
This was the first opportunity to wear our new rugby kits!
We are now looking forward to the Gilpin Blitz in March.
