Tag Rugby Tournament
Girls Tag Rugby
Today we travelled to Portadown Rugby Club for a girls‑only Tag Rugby festival, and what a fantastic day it was!
Our girls played six matches, finishing with an impressive record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss
Remarkably the majority of the team had never played Tag Rugby before, making their performance even more outstanding. After just one game, they found their rhythm, grew in confidence, and had an absolute blast. Their teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm shone throughout the day.
Both Mrs Liggett and Barry were incredibly impressed—not just by the developing skill set on display, but also by the positive attitude every girl brought to the pitch.
A special mention goes to Sofia (P7) who, despite never having played before, finished the day as our top try scorer with an incredible 8 tries!
Well, done to all our girls—everyone at Edenderry is super proud of you! 👏🏉
A huge thank you to Portadown RFC, Alistair Toal for organizing, and Gail McComiskey (PRFC Youth Ladies Coach) along with Lucy Thompson, Ulster Ladies Rugby player, for their support and encouragement.
A brilliant day all round!
