At 11am today Sandringham's residents joined the next generation in observing a moment's silence in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE day. Our P7s brought fun and laughter as part of our intergenerational outreach. Kindly funded by the School PTA via ABC grant aid, the residents and P7s were able to enjoy some karaoke and chips.
Under the instruction of Dads Army our P7s sang and danced and conversed with the elderly residents, all under the glorious May sun.
As a school we should be so proud of how our P7s engaged with the residents, with nothing but kindness and empathy. Our fond farewells after a feast of chips and juice will ensure some precious memories for the future.
