Apologies Ms McClelland (otherwise engaged)

We met in P7AM to allow the council to feedback their responses to the school’s pupil view survey and record all online, using our interactive whiteboard. He pupils had worked really hard both themselves as councillors and as classes all returning with lots to offer.

Mr M explained we would try to bring all our key findings together to create a report for the whole school’s council wards (P4-7). We would then share this with Mr Blevins, so he could begin to see a picture/overview of how the pupils felt and the things they would like to see done.   The pupils took it in turn looking at each question and offering up the report findings from their respective classes.

Councillor Jonah was very kind to offer to work closely with councillor Layla ensuring all her answers and the findings of the SLSC were clearly relayed.     The council worked solidly for 25 minutes recording the key findings of the first two questions of the pupil survey.     We reported on;   How do you feel at school?   What would make you feel safer?   Do you enjoy learning at school? What you enjoy? What would make lessons more enjoyable?   Every councillor offered lots of ideas – all those reflecting the responses of their classes. It was noted there was an abundance of ideas and these were all very positive and where needed, constructive in things they wished to see change.

At 12.35 the meeting was concluded to be resumed next Tuesday at 12.10 DV. The agenda will be of continuing to work to deliver an understanding of the feelings and initial hopes of the pupils in P4-7, found via the pupil survey
